Moanarua Beach Cottage offer you a romantic hideaway nestled between the Ocean and the Harbour in sunny Ohope beach, in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.

BBQ, luxury spa and to enjoy the beautiful views from the decks. Explore our local harbour, learn the local history, paddle down one of our beautiful rivers, fish or just have fun. At Moanarua we offer fishing trips and harbour tours for up to three people, and offer kayaks for hire.

Wander about our award winning garden. Chat with us about local history and our contemporay Maori art works. Widely travelled we love sharing stories. Dine at local cafes, try a 'hangi' with us or simply lay back with TV, CD's or magazines provided in your own private 'whare'.

Continental breakfast supplied in your cottage to be enjoyed at your leisure.

Your hosts Miria and Taroi are descendants of the Ngati Awa and Tuhoe tribes. They also have links with Te Whanau a Apanui. Their ancestors have links to the coast, bush and lake areas. Miria and Taroi are happy to introduce you to the histories of these places and of the local marae.

Tariff: $110 to $140 (peak time) per night for the cottage, but we are flexible for longer periods of time.
