Introducing Ohope Beach, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.

Ohope Beach is simply New Zealand's best beach. And I guess that makes it one of the best places to be in the World. As the publisher and webmaster of the Ohope Beach Website it is my pleasure to write the opening editorial and introduce you to Ohope Beach and the Eastern Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. Ohope is an ocean beach, an unbroken 11km of white sand with breathtaking views out to an active volcano of White Island (Whakaari) and Whale Island (Moutohora). Sweeping views out towards the East Cape. The area offers plenty to do and total relaxation in a pristine beach environment.

Growing up in Whakatane meant that our family spent a lot of time exploring the large expanse of white sand and swimming in the warm summer surf of one of the safest family holiday spots in the country.

On the Ohope Beach Website you will find accommodation a huge archive on local nature, wonderful photos, community groups and many interesting articles submitted by local experts.
