Welcome to our friendly school! We have around 90 children on our roll, from years one to eight. We provide a friendly and supportive learning environment for every child, with quality teaching, especially reading, writing and maths. We¹re also proud of having special needs children on our roll.

The school has four full-time teachers, three teacher aides, and a trained special needs teacher. We have four teachers trained in reading recovery and numeracy maths teaching.

Waiotahe Valley School dates to 1916 and benefits from deep community partnerships. Maromahue Marae welcomes visits from the school and as a parent you are invited to join whanau support evenings. We embrace Te Reo as a key part of every school day. We are committed to EnviroSchools (www.enviroschools.org.nz) with great support from Environment Bay of Plenty. All our children take part in thinking and working to care for and enhance their environment.

The school has a new library and classroom opened in 2006. You¹ll find Waiotahe Valley School is a special school in a special place. You¹re very welcome to come and look around and talk with us about what we offer your daughter or son.

* School hours: 8.30am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday.
* School bus: Waiotahe Valley and Ohiwa Loop/Ruatuna Roads.
