Goodin and Karen VanDer Fits are the owner/operators of The Gambler fishing
charters out of the Bay of Plenty port of Whakatane, New Zealand.
Together they offer a professional service second to none.
The Eastern Bay of Plenty waters have both inshore and offshore fishing
opportunities.
Inshore trips are those inside and around Whale Island (see maps) and
offshore fishing takes in the amazing White Island, which is an active
volcanic system and a major New Zealand tourist attraction in its own
right and has fantastic fishing.
Mick, the skipper, has had fishing experience of 30 years and has been
charter fishing in the Bay of Plenty for over 4 years.
He holds a current Commercial Launch Masters Ticket.
 "The
Gambler" was launched in 2001 and Bladerunner boats / Silverwing
Marine in Auckland built her. She is a 30 foot, comfortable, stable, purpose
built fishing platform and can accommodate 6 to 8 Anglers.
