The Great Coast Clean Up is on 21 September 2019. Part of Conservation Week 2019.

The goal is removing as much rubbish / plastic as possible along the BAY OF PLENTY COAST from Mt Maunganui to Opape.

HOW? Two or more people are allocated 1km of beach with a designated drop off point for rubbish. ALL items/bags will be collected by the DoC or Councils. Time required is about 1 hour. Bags for rubbish can be supplied, but why not bring your own (dog food bags etc are ideal)- wearing gloves is recommended.
